Belfast City Council Recycling Visit January 2024

31st Jan 2024

What a great morning learning more about recycling ♻️

We had lots of discussion about  the different bins that we can put materials in.

We watched a video talking about the importance of not throwing rubbish on the ground and how we can look after our surroundings. We know that we throw rubbish in the bin and can help to recycle different types of rubbish.

We helped Anna sort some rubbish; recognising the correct bins to put them into for recycling. We shared with Anna that at home the grown ups recycle rubbish into different bins.

A new trick for us when recycling; if it scrunches up and stays in place it can be recycled ☺️ We learnt a very interesting fact that crisp packets cannot be recycled πŸ‘€

We are very eager to recycle in school and are keen to help with our grown-ups at home πŸ˜„

Anna very kindly gifted us a lovely new bird box, bat box and some seeds- we cannot wait to get these in place outside.
